The AW 420 D4-2-EX fan is equipped with the special Ex external rotor motor. The plate and blades are made of galvanized sheet steel. The surface of the fan and blades is finished with black powder paint. The speed can be controlled by a 5-speed transformer or by a 2-speed switch. Overheating protection is provided by built-in thermistor contacts connected to the terminal block of the fan. They must be connected to the U-EK 230E protective relay.
