The RQ 28-4D Ex non-explosion-proof four-sided centrifugal fan is designed for explosion hazardous environments. The explosion-proof centrifugal fan has an impeller made of galvanized steel plate. The fan casing has a special design that prevents mechanical ignition sparks according to ČSN EN 80079-36, ČSN EN 80079-37 and electric motor protection according to ČSN EN 60079-0.

Description

Impeller	The impeller and blades are made of galvanized steel plate.
Motor	The RQ Ex centrifugal fan is equipped with an asynchronous three-phase motor with external rotor and squirrel-cage. The motor is housed inside the impeller and is cooled by the air flow during operation.
Terminal block	The electrical installation of the fan itself is terminated with a special explosion-proof terminal block with IP 66 protection. The electric motors must not be connected in a triangle. They are always connected only in star.
Installation	The fans are designed for indoor and outdoor use. They are used to transport air free of solid, fibrous, sticky, aggressive impurities. The air shall be free of chemicals that cause corrosion of zinc, copper and aluminium. The permissible ambient and transport air temperature is between -20 and +40 °C. In terms of the EN 60079-10 hazardous area classification, the fans are designed for the environment and for extracting air from the environment zone 1. The RQ explosion-proof fans in the secured "e" version belong to group II according to EN 60079-0 and are marked with the explosion-proof symbol II 2G Exe II TX. The fans themselves are marked with the explosion-proof symbol II 2G c IIB+H2 TX.
Speed control	The fans in the Ex version are supplied only with three-phase electric motors. The TRN or TRRD three-phase controllers are used to control their speed (power).
Materials	The outer casing of the RQ Ex fan and the connecting flanges are made of galvanized (Zn 275 g/m2) steel sheet. The electric motor housing is made of aluminium alloys.
