The OPTIMA S variable air flow volume controller is designed to control air flow volume in HVAC ducts based on an external signal. The recommended use of the OPTIMA-S VAV controller is in one zone with both air inlet and outlet, e.g. offices, hotel rooms or conference rooms. Thanks to the VDI6022 and VDI 3803 certification, the OPTIMA S variable air flow controller can also be used in more hygienically demanding areas such as hospitals, laboratories, etc.

Description
The required air flow volume for the OPTIMA-S VAV controllers is set by means of an external 0 - 10 V, 2 - 10 V signal, which is supplied to the servo drive, or by switching individual contacts on the servo drive terminal block. The servo drive can be equipped with external the communication MP-Bus, ModBus, LonWorks or KNX. The OPTIMA-S VAV controller is made of galvanized sheet steel. The air volume is adjusted by blades inside the controller, which are actuated by the servo drive on the housing. The controller housing can be powder coated in a RAL colour on request.
Installation The controller is connected to four-sided ducts using a PG30 flange. The controller can be installed in any position and must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
