Housing The housing is made of white ABS plastic. The AP version with discharge facing backwards, the diameter of the discharge connection is 50 mm with an included reduction to 75 mm (100 mm reduction can be ordered). The front grille contains a filter and a silencer. Impeller The radial impeller with forward-curved blades is made of galvanized sheet metal. Motor The external rotor fan motor is asynchronous, equipped with a start capacitor. The fan is equipped with greased-for-life ball bearings and an integrated thermal protection. Temperature resistance up to 40 °C. IPX5 ingress protection. Terminal block The terminal block is accessible after a simple disassembly of the front grille. Noise level The noise emitted by the fan is measured at a distance of 1 m in the fan axis on the suction side. Installation The AP fans are designed for surface mounting (must be ordered with the ERKF damper). The fan is delivered assembled. The housing is covered with a temporary anti-dirt cover and after installation it is replaced by the front grille, which is included. The housing and fan motor can be supplied separately based on a special order. Usage Due to its parameters, the KN fan is predestined for use for duct systems with long duct routes and with a high pressure drop (in compliance with the ventilation rules of the fan design). In the case of the AP surface-mounted fans with the discharge facing backwards, the air flow is approx. 25% lower. - Additional Information
