Housing The housing is made of white ABS plastic. AP design with rearward discharge, diameter of discharge outlet is 50 mm with 75 mm reduction included (100 mm reduction can be ordered). Front grille includes filter and silencer. Impeller The radial impeller with forward curved blades is made of galvanized sheet metal. Motor The fan motor is asynchronous with an external rotor and starting capacitor. The fan is equipped with greased-for-life ball bearings and an integrated thermal protection. Temperature resistance up to 40 °C. IPX5 protection. Terminal block The terminal box is accessible by simply removing the front grille. Installation The UP can be installed flush or in the ceiling (to be ordered with ERKF damper), in horizontal and vertical position. The fan is delivered assembled, the housing is covered with a temporary anti-fouling cover and after installation it is replaced with a front grille which is attached. The fan housing and motor can be supplied separately on special order. Usage Due to its parameters, the KN fan is predestined for use in ductwork with a longer duct route and higher pressure drop (while observing the ventilation rules of the fan design). The performance characteristics are valid for UP fans with top outlet of the recessed version. - Additional Information
