When connected to an AC/DC 24V power supply, the damper blade is adjusted to the standby position with the required airflow volume. If the servo drive voltage is interrupted (loss of supply voltage or by pressing the reset button on the BAT thermoelectric actuating mechanism - thermal fuse), the return spring moves the damper blade to the safe "CLOSED" position. The BAT thermo-electric mechanism, which contains two thermal fuses Tf1 and Tf2, is part of the drive. These fuses are activated when the temperature reaches + 72 °C. The fuse Tf1 measures the temperature on the outside of the damper and Tf2 measures the temperature inside the ventilation duct. Both fuses are in series connection - When one of them is activated, the power supply is interrupted and the servo drive moves the damper blade to the safe "CLOSED" position. The signaling of the "OPEN" or "CLOSED" position is provided by two limit switches, which are located inside the servo drive.The fire damper consists of a control part on the damper body, a blade and a pressure sensor for determining the air flow. The control is attached to the body to monitor the position of the blade, which in this case is the blade of the fire damper. - Additional Information
