The acoustically insulated roof fan DVSI 311EV sileo is suitable for applications requiring high air performance at medium pressure drop and low noise. The fan is equipped with a 3D profiled impeller with backward curved blades and with an external rotor motor. The DVSI 311EV sileo fan has a vertical discharge and is acoustically and thermally insulated with a 50 mm mineral wool layer.

Description
Housing The fan housing is made of highly durable aluminum. The base plate is made of galvanized sheet steel. The integrated anti-bird netting is made of powder coated galvanized steel.
Impeller The impeller is radial with backward curved blades made of aluminum. The profiled blades are highly efficient thanks to the 3D geometry used.
Motor Asynchronous squirrel-cage motor with external rotor mounted on anti-vibration feet that prevent vibration transmission.
Terminal block The fan has integrated thermal contacts, which must be connected to a corresponding protective relay in the motor terminal block (the protective relay is not included in the fan delivery). The thermal contact cuts off the power supply if the winding temperature is too high (130 °C for motors with insulation class B, 155 °C for motors with insulation class F). After the motor has cooled down, the fan can be restarted by pressing the button marked "1" on the thermal protection relay. When using a five-stage transformer with a built-in thermal protection relay, the fan can be restarted by turning off the switch (to the "0" position) for about 10 seconds, and then the fan can be started. In case of a power failure, the fan restarts automatically.
Noise level The sound pressure level is indicated at a distance of 4 m (free space).
Installation The DVSI roof radial fan can be started when connected to the ductwork for which it is designed, with the suction closed to avoid a motor overloading. After starting, the current must be checked and must not exceed the nominal value (higher value can signal e.g. unregulated ductwork). The direction of flow is indicated by an arrow on the housing. The fan must be separately attached.
