Housing The fan casing is made of highly durable aluminium. The base plate is made of galvanized steel sheet. The integrated anti-bird net is made of powder-coated galvanized steel. Impeller The impeller is radial with backward curved blades made of composite material. The profiled blades are highly efficient due to the 3D geometry used. Motor Asynchronous squirrel-cage motor with an external rotor mounted on anti-vibration feet that prevent the transmission of vibrations. Terminal block The fan has built-in thermocontacts with automatic restart. The thermal contacts are integrated in the motor winding. These disconnect the voltage supply to the motor windings when the critical temperature is reached (130°C for motors with insulation class B). They automatically reconnect when the temperature drops to operating temperature. Noise level The sound pressure level is given at a distance of 4 m (free space). Installation The DVS centrifugal roof fan is started when connected to the ductwork for which it is designed, with the intake closed to prevent motor overload. After start-up, the current is checked and must not exceed the nominal value (a higher value may indicate, for example, an unregulated duct network). The airflow direction is indicated by an arrow on the casing. The fan must be separately mounted. - Additional Information
