The new generation KPK2 odour-proof non-return damper is a magnetic, double winged, self-acting damper used to prevent unwanted odours, cold smoke or cool air from passing through a kitchen hood and into an apartment or house.

The KPK2 odour-proof non-return damper is used with ventilation air extraction equipment and is designed for direct insertion into circular ventilation ducts.

The KPK2 airtight damper is constructed of ABS plastic, silicone membrane, rubber gasket and two screws with two magnets.

Two wings with magnets provide an even greater seal than the previous model, the KPK damper. Long-term temperature resistance is 80°C and short-term resistance is up to 85°C.

The silicone used to make the membrane of both wings will give the KPK2 butterfly damper an indefinite service life.

The silicone membrane is reinforced around the perimeter with a plastic frame that distributes pressure evenly around the perimeter of the KPK2 butterfly damper for maximum tightness.

Two adjustable screws in the body of the damper and two magnets in the plastic frame of the membrane ensure maximum tightness and automatic closing of the KPK2 odour-proof damper.

There is a magnetic force between the screw and the magnet, which can be manually adjusted by tightening or loosening the screw to affect the membrane pressure.

To increase the membrane pressure, adjust the screw closer to the magnet. The reason for this step may be a higher negative pressure in the duct.

The new design of the KPK2 odour-proof damper results in even less air resistance when passing through the damper than the first generation KPK damper.

Because of the lower air resistance, the performance of the hood or a centrifugal fan is now negligibly affected.

The rubber seal located around the perimeter of the KPK2 is U-shaped, thus ensuring the strength and tightness of the damper in the duct.
