The FDMR 150 .11FDMR .11 fire dampers are fire closures of HVAC ducts that prevent the spread of fire and combustion products from one fire compartment to another. The FDMR fire dampers in version .11 are dampers equipped with a mechanical control and a thermal fuse which triggers the closing mechanism when reaching 72 °C. They are supplemented with signaling the „CLOSED“ blade position. On request, dampers with a thermal fuse which triggers the closing mechanism when reaching 104 °C or 147 °C can be supplied. The FDMR .11 fire dampers are designed for installation in circular ducts. On request it is possible to supply dampers with flange connection or supplemented with installation anchors.

Description

The fire dampers are fire closures of HVAC ducts that prevent the spread of fire and combustion products from one fire compartment to another. The fire damper blade automatically closes the air passage by means of a closing spring or a servo-drive. The closing spring is actuated by releasing the trigger lever. The impulse for releasing the trigger lever can be manual, thermal or by means of an electromagnet. The servo-drive spring is activated when the thermoelectric BAT trigger mechanism is activated, the reset button on the BAT is pressed, or when the servo-drive power supply is interrupted. After closing the blade, the damper is sealed against the passage of smoke by a silicone seal. Upon customer request, silicone-free seals are available. At the same time, the damper blade is embedded in a material which, due to increasing temperature, increases its volume and tightly closes the duct. The operation of the dampers is not dependent on the air flow direction.

The dampers can be placed in any position. The dampers are designed for air masses without abrasive, chemical and adhesive impurities. The dampers are designed for environments protected against weather conditions with classification of climatic conditions class 3K5, without condensation, icing, ice formation, without water from other sources than from rain and with temperature limit -20 to 50 °C according to EN 60 721-3-3 .A2.

In case of damper installation with electrical elements, the temperature range is narrowed according to the temperature range of the electrical elements used (see Chapter 2. Execution).

When determining spaces according to EN 13463-1 (ZONES 1 and 2), the principle is not to distinguish whether the specified environment is outside or inside the damper.

The flawless function of the dampers is ensured under the following conditions:

(a) maximum air velocity of 12 m/s.

 maximum pressure difference 1200 Pa

b) uniform distribution of air flow over the entire damper section.
